The Story Behind the Company
Kenneth L. Dixon Photography, Video Production & Drone was founded by Kenneth L. Dixon, a Chicago native who spent time in New York before returning home with a clearer sense of creative purpose and professional direction. That shift in perspective became the foundation of everything the company stands for today.
What started as a commitment to intentional visual storytelling grew into one of Chicago's most versatile full-service visual production companies. Over 12 years of full-time work across commercial, corporate, food, wedding, drone, music video, and event production, we built a reputation on a simple principle — every image and every frame should serve a purpose. Nothing is produced without creative direction, deliberate execution, and a clear understanding of what the work needs to accomplish for the client.
Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, a foundation that shaped the company's instinct for storytelling and ability to communicate clearly across industries and audiences. He was also accepted into Adobe's Creative Residency Community, a recognition of the creative standard the company consistently operates at.

We do not show up with a camera and a checklist. Every project starts with a conversation about goals, audience, and intended outcome. From there we develop a clear creative direction, plan the production, execute with professional-grade equipment, and handle all editing, color grading, and post-production in-house.
That end-to-end ownership of the process is what gives our clients a consistent result across every deliverable. No outsourcing to third-party editors. No inconsistent looks across a gallery or a video package. The same team that plans the shoot delivers the final product.
As an FAA Part 107 certified drone operator, we also bring legal, professional aerial cinematography and photography to commercial productions, real estate projects, events, weddings, and brand campaigns across Chicago and Chicagoland. Every aerial operation is fully compliant and planned in advance, so there are no compliance surprises for our clients.
Photography and video production under one roof means your brand looks consistent across every format. The commercial video, the photography campaign, the drone footage, and the social media content all carry the same visual identity because they come from the same creative direction.

All video production services are handled in-house from pre-production through final delivery.
Photography Wedding and engagement photography, professional headshots, food and restaurant photography, lifestyle and personal branding photography, event photography, real estate and architecture photography, concert photography, and commercial brand photography. The full range of photography services is available for brands, businesses, and individuals across Chicago.
Drone Services FAA Part 107 certified aerial cinematography and photography for commercial productions, real estate, events, weddings, and construction documentation. All drone services are legal, planned, and delivered in 4K or 6K.
